Interface

Any data that can be placed in an Excel spreadsheet can be imported into Direct Route™. So, if you’re already using Excel, you’ve got it made! If not, don’t worry Direct Route™ automatically formats your spreadsheet, and it’s easy to learn! Direct Route™ also has the ability to import data from an ASCII file. If you can point and click a mouseyou can use Direct Route™. Appian Logistics will work closely with your IT group to ensure that the necessary interfaces are in place with your existing applications.

If your daily deliveries come from an order entry system, you can use the “Extract and Upload” features. These features allow Direct Route™ to extract only the stops that need to be routed from the Master Stop file. You can also upload the data after it has been routed. You may upload the data so that warehouse can begin pulling the products that are to be loaded on the trucks; give a copy to the driver and send a copy back to your entry system for further processing.

Many of our clients download much of the information contained in the stop file directly from their existing systems. This eliminates the need to re-key the data into Direct Route™.

Implementation Assistance

While some customers do not require any training assistance at all, the standard instructor led training for Direct Route™ is 2-4 days. The training session can be held on-site at your location or at Appian’s headquarters in Oklahoma City.
