Logistics Support Analyst Position

Description:
Primary duties will be to analyze business requirements and systems to ensure smooth integration of Appian’s products into customers’ environment. Candidate will participate in brainstorming activities to help identify new and innovative software solutions for real-world problems. A strong analytical background will be required to offer suggestions for the best application of our product line to specific situations. This candidate would also apply those same principals towards professional consulting offered by Appian as a service to its customers. The position will require 10-20% travel.

Job Responsibilities will include:
• Troubleshoot software related problems
• Provide software support for analytical Users
• Coordinating software interface with new clients
• Facilitate implementation on more sophisticated installs
• Train end users in the use of proprietary software
• Provide consulting services

Candidates must demonstrate excellent communication skills and a desire to work in a high-energy, goal-oriented environment. The position requires the ability to work independently, manage multiple assignments simultaneously, anticipate required activities/tasks, and work according to changing priorities. Important skills also include: attention to detail, troubleshooting ability and initiative. Appian Logistics is a very autonomous environment where the employees control a large percentage of the tasks they undertake.

Requirements:
• Must have experience using Windows operating systems.
• Excellent problem solving and analytical skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel

• Must be a self-starter and demonstrated ability to take ownership and deliver quality results

Nice to Have:
• Proficient in Access or other DB
• Logistics Experience
• Previous Consulting experience
• Basic working knowledge of Windows networks
• Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology or Computer Sciences or IT related.
• Working knowledge of scripting, stored procedures, and database maintenance.
• Ability to work with vendors to support vendor hosted applications including: troubleshooting and engaging proper resources to solve firewall, IE, or other issues preventing users from accessing the web-hosted application.
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
• Basic understanding of local and wide area networks and associated architecture
