ATLANTA, GA. — 3PD, one of the country’s largest last-mile logistics providers, has been named Logistics Company of the Year by the Metro Atlanta Chamber of Commerce and Atlanta chapter of the Council of Supply Chain Management Professionals.
The award, presented at the Metro Atlanta Logistics Awards on November 7, honors the Atlanta-based logistics company that has displayed the area’s most noteworthy combination of revenue and employment growth, business innovation, honors and community involvement.
3PD received first-place honors based on a two-year revenue growth of 56 percent as well as the fact that it has received several awards of excellence from clients such as The Home Depot, Best Buy and Sears.
“It’s a great honor for us to be recognized here in our home town,” said 3PD Chairman and CEO Karl Meyer. “Atlanta is one of the country’s strongest logistics markets, and we’re proud to be acknowledged as one of its supply chain leaders.”
